The best weapons for Ganyu at Genshin Impact
Ganyu’s power relies on her powerful charged attacks that deal Cryo damage to the whole area.
To maximize her damage output, Elemental reactions are required. She works well with teams that concentrate on melting and freezing.
Five stars are her greatest weapon Amos’ BowThis increases the attack and damage from both charged and standard attacks by up to 40%
The five-star bow is another option Hunter’s Path Your elemental mastery can boost damage from all elements up to 12%, and charge shots’ damage by as much as 160%.
In theory, it can do more damage than Amos’ Bow, but you need to ensure you have the right stats on your artifacts.
The following are other powerful weapons that Ganyu can use:
- Aqua Simulacra (five-star bow) – increases critical damage, HP, and attack.
- Skyward Harp (five-star bow) – increases critical hit rate and critical damage. Bonus physical damage is also available.

Wanderer’s Troupe Ganyu also has a good set of pieces. The elemental mastery of two pieces is increased by four, and the damage to charged shots increases with four.

Top Ganyu teams in Genshin Impact Ganyu
Ganyu might have a strong melting team.
- Ganyu (Main DPS), Xiangling (Sub DPS), Kazuha (Support), Bennett (Support).
Ganyu here uses her elemental burst and charged attack to cause damage and generate Cryo effects.
Xiangling has the Pyro Power for melting reactions, causing huge damage. Kazuha is able to group enemies together, reduce resistances and cause enemies more damage.
Bennett can help Ganyu to live and will add additional Pyro effects.
Contrast this with what a team of freezing people with Ganyu could look like
- Ganyu (Main DPS), Kokomi (Sub DPS/support), Mona (Support), Kazuha (Support).
Mona will then contribute Hydro damage to Ganyu, causing him to freeze.
Kokomi takes on multiple roles. Kokomi heals, gives Hydro power and deals extra damage through her elemental burst.
Kazuha plays the same part as the melting team. This means the enemy suffers more damage.
