Wrightwood murder suspect surrenders after fleeing from Mexico

After briefly fleeing to Mexico, a Wrightwood man was arrested for murder and turned himself in to authorities on Sunday.

Liam Boroff (23 years old) was arrested in connection with the death of Nicholas Robinson, 41, also from Wrightwood.

Robinson’s body was found inside a home on the 5700 block of Heath Creek Drive on Sunday by deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. The Department stated that deputies originally arrived at the house to conduct a welfare check in connection to a report about suspicious circumstances.

Homicide detectives took control of the investigation and discovered that Robinson & Boroff were involved with some form of physical altercation.

Boroff is alleged to have fled to Mexico and then returned to the United States in order to surrender.

He was detained and booked at West Valley Detention Center. While awaiting charges for murder, he is being held indefinitely without bail.
