Who are Amy and Tammy dating?
While Amy Slaton’s love life is more of a mystery to viewers, her sister Tammy’s romances are front and center on 1000-lb Sisters.
When the show premiered on the TLC Network, Tammy introduced the audience to her boyfriend at the time, a man named Jerry Sykes.
Drama erupted around Tammy and Jerry when it was revealed that he’s a married man.
Kia Russell-Rucker Sykes exclusively gave The Sun her take on her husband Jerry’s relationship with girlfriend Tammy.
“We are married, but we are not together cause he went on that show,” the wife told The Sun
“He told me if I [file for divorce] he will not sign the papers,” Jerry’s wife revealed.
Is Tammy Slaton in a new relationship?
By the end of season two of the show, Tammy ended her relationship with Jerry and entered food addiction rehab.
In December of 2021, an episode revealed that Tammy is dating a new guy named Phillip.
Although, they are not engaged, Tammy did admit on the show that her and Phillip are in a serious relationship.
Phillip is known on social media as the BBW (Big Beautiful Women) King and admittedly professes his love for plus sized women who are over 300lbs.
What have the Slaton Sisters said about their dating lives?
Both of Tammy’s relationships have been a point of contention between her and sister Amy.
Speaking on Tammy and Jerry’s previous relationship, Amy said, “Tammy should be 100 percent focused on herself.”
Amy continued: “Worry about the relationship when you’re healthy. You can’t be in a relationship if you’re six feet under.”
Amy has also told Tammy her concerns when it comes to her boyfriend the BBW King.
Tammy told the 1000-lb Sisters audience and her sister, “So he likes big girls. He’s just a supporter. And he knows very well that I’m on a weight loss journey.”
Tammy continued: “He’s all for me losing weight and getting healthier.”
“No, he don’t want me to get under 300, and I’m fine with that,” Amy’s sister added.
