What Happened At Juice WRLD’s Funeral?

Following his untimely death in December 2019, rapper Juice WRLD was laid to rest days later in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. The rapper’s family opted to host a private, open-casket funeral, which was attended by relatives, Interscope Records executives, and close friends, including rapper Ski Mask the Slump God (per TMZ).

TMZ obtained photographs of the funeral program, which featured touching tributes from mother Carmella Wallace, grandmother Cecilia Darden, and siblings Brian, Alyssa, and Maya Wallace. In her tribute, Carmella wrote, “My dear son Jarad, God trusted me to raise you and I poured all I had into you as the Lord guided me. We were inseparable and even though you left home early, we were always in each other’s hearts and always had a special bond.”

“Your love was pure and innocent, and your heart was genuine. You truly cared about people and wanted to make the world a better place,” she continued. “I am going to miss you dearly. Rest in peace my dear one; mommy loves you.” Grandma Darden echoed a similar sentiment, writing, “My love for you will never end, and I miss you Jarad, my dear Grandson.” In a joint statement, Juice WRLD’s siblings wrote, “Jarad [Higgins, the rapper’s real name], you brought life, light, and laughter to everyone you met. We will carry you in our hearts always. We love you.”
