Weeks after head-on crash, Quartz Hill graduate is hired to be Kern County firefighter.

According to the Kern County Fire Department, Monday was the second anniversary of the death of a Kern County firefighter who was nearly two weeks ago injured in a car accident on his way to work at Keene Helicbase.

Aiden Agnor (18 years old) sustained serious injuries in the accident on June 28. Officials said he was a seasonal firefighter.

“Aiden was loved and respected by all who knew him and has forever impacted this department and our community for the better,” said Fire Chief Aaron Duncan.

All Kern County Fire Department flags are to be flown at half-staff from the time Agnor is laid to Rest.

Agnor was born in the Antelope Valley, and graduated this year from Quartz Hill High School.

A procession was held Tuesday as Agnor’s body was transported to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.

According to his family, it was his dream to be a firefighter. It was also a career that others in the family felt called to.

A GoFundMeIt was established after the crash in order to cover medical expenses.
