Officials confirmed that a car caught fire at a street takeover in South Los Angeles’ Green Meadows area early Saturday morning.
According to Brian Humphrey, the LAFD, the Los Angeles Fire Department responded at South Central Avenue and East 120th Street 1:11 AM to a traffic collision. However, another caller to the Fire Department reported that a vehicle had caught fire.
The LAFD had issues with the crowd and called for assistance from the Los Angeles Police Department. According to Officer Cervantes, two people were arrested for battery on a firefighter.
They have not been identified by their names or given details about their ages or gender.
Humphrey stated that no one needed to be taken to the hospital by ambulance, but Cervantes said that the vehicle was torched from the accident scene.
