Conte calls upon Son, Kane and Lloris for Champions League qualification

According to the latest reports, Tottenham will try to sign Andrea Belotti, an Italy striker, as a back-up for Harry Kane.

In recent years, Spurs have struggled with Kane’s cover. Vincent Janssen, Fernando Llorente and Carlos Vinicius all failed to offer enough competition to the England captain. Reports now suggest that Belotti is being considered to fill the position.

After flying out to Argentina for international duty, Cristian Romero was left with a red-faced face. Christian Eriksen, a former Spurs ace, has made a fairytale comeback to the scene where he suffered a heart attack during Euro 2020.

Eriksen’s fairytale comeback

Christian Eriksen scored a remarkable goal when he returned to the scene where he suffered a heart attack last year during Euro 2020.

The Denmark international fell to the ground during last summer’s match against Finland, and subsequently had to leave his club Inter Milan as Serie A rules prevent players with cardioverter-defibrillator devices from playing. He has since arrived at Premier League outfit Brentford and worked his way back into the national team set-up – and was handed the captain’s armband by Kasper Schmeichel for his return to the Parken Stadium.

The goal was scored by him in the midst of emotional scenes on Tuesday night.

Romero left red-faced

Cristian Romero was left with a bad conscience after he went to South America on international duty without any reason.

While on international duty, the Spurs centre-back had been given a two-match ban. However, the Argentine FA appealed this ban and hoped that it would be overturned. While the defender was not present for Friday’s win over Venezuela, it was hoped that his absence would allow him to participate in Ecuador’s clash on Wednesday.

However, that won’t happen as his suspension was upheld. The defender will now fly home to the UK and not play a competitive minute of football.
