Thousand Oaks man charged with fatal stabbing of T.O. resident: VCSO

A Thousand Oaks man was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder after the stabbing death of another man on Sunday, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.

Oliver Willis, 24 years old, was discovered dead by police in the 1800 block West Hillcrest Drive at 3:30 AM Sunday. “suffered multiple stab wounds,”The In a press release, VCSO stated.

Alain Alvarez was identified as a suspect by the VCSO and he arrested him at around 4:30 p.m., Wednesday “an unrelated misdemeanor charge,”The release stated.

Jail records reveal that the charge against you is for being under the control of a controlled drug.

The search warrant was obtained by detectives. “obtained additional evidence linking Alvarez to the homicide,”The release was added.

Alvarez is being held at Ventura County Main Jail with $520,000 bail, $5,000 drug charge, and $515,000 murder charge.

According to jail records, he will appear in Ventura County Superior Court for the drug and murder charges on Friday.
