Reward Offered to Find Person Responsible for Abuse, Death of Dog in Thousand Oaks – Los Angeles

The reward for the arrest of someone who took a Thousand Oaks dog rescue group’s dog and then allegedly killed her is up to $17,000

PETA offers a $5,000 reward to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest or conviction on cruelty charges against the person/people responsible for stealing Pretty Girl from Paw Works and then killing her.

The establishment’s security footage showed that someone took the dog out of her crate and picked the lock at the building last Thursday at 02:42.

Pretty Girl is a 2-year old tan-and black mixed-breed dog. She weighed approximately 45 pounds and had upright ears.

A passerby discovered Pretty Girl, a girl with life-threatening injuries, on Thursday morning and brought her to Paw Works Veterinary Hospital. She later died.

Paw Works team claims that the dog sustained severe neck, back and head trauma. She also had severe bleeding in her abdomen and swelling surrounding her rectum.

“This vulnerable dog needed someone to love and care for her, but instead, someone stole her, abused her, and left her for dead,” says PETA Senior Vice President Colleen O’Brien. “PETA urges anyone with information to come forward so her killer can be prevented from hurting anyone else.”

Camarillo Police Department is available at 805-388-5100 if you have any information.
