On May 2, 2022, Princess Charlotte turned seven, and according to royal standards, three new photos were released, showing the little one’s growth progress since her last birthday.

Her mom, Duchess Kate Middleton, played photographer, taking the three graceful photos showing her smiling daughter in a blueberry bush. Charlotte was photographed in the small shrub with Orla, the family dog.

Earlier in March 2022, the princess was cited in public with her family as they stepped out for the late prince Philip’s memorial. During the outing, royal experts took in some personality traits that Charlotte displayed.

Children behaved well when they were with their parents who performed their royal duties. Judi James, a royal expert, said that Charlotte displayed some traits that were reminiscent of Princess Diana.

James shared a juxtaposition between Prince George’s demeanor and Charlotte’s. George held Prince William in his hands while he listened attentively to his father introduce him to the archbishop of Canterbury and other officials.

James said that George displayed confidence in his gestures. Charlotte initially displayed a shyness that could eventually give way to a bubblier personality. This is similar to the way Princess Diana treated royalty. James stated:

“Like Diana she gives the initial impression of shyness but beneath that appears to be an outgoing, fun personality. She also picked out several of the cameras with her eyes, as Diana always remembered to do.”

Duchess Kate also seemed to be keeping an eye on Charlotte constantly as she whispered from time to time to the young girl. Kate also gestured several times to encourage Charlotte to be her best.

Her outgoing personality was evident when she recognized Mia Tindall, her cousin, at the event. Charlotte enthusiastically waved at the other kid.

In the few years of her young life, Charlotte drew public attention and was an absolute delight to her family. While she is officially referred to by her first name and her title in public, her mom and dad have endearing characters for her.

Once when the family was in public, Prince William was heard calling her Mignonette, the French word for “cute” or “small and delicate.” Kate opted for the diminutive form of her only daughter’s name as she calls her “Lottie.”

The princess has had a few firsts in life, and one of them had been so satisfying when fans gleaned it at a public event. Charlotte, who was 16 months old, watched so many balloons flow around her, and she let out her first word, “pop!”

Charlotte has a fun morning ritual that revolves around music. Her family would gather for a music-filled morning in the kitchen, where she would usually join her youngster.

The music is often chosen by the children; Charlotte and George always fight over who will pick the theme. Prince William revealed this during his Apple Fitness “Time To Talk” interview.

The loving father explained that they would often argue over which music would be played. But he solved the problem by allowing them to take turns. He explained:

“Most mornings, there’s a massive fight between Charlotte and George as to what song is played in the morning,” William shares. It’s my responsibility to prioritize the fact that someone may do this one one day, and someone else’s next day.”

Prince William described his household’s morning routine as “such a clamor for music.” He also explained that Charlotte had a special ritual that included spirited dancing. The duke stated:

“Charlotte, particularly, is running around the kitchen in her dresses and ballet stuff and everything. She goes completely crazy with Louis following her around trying to do the same thing.”

The star dad heartily included that little Prince Louis would often tag along. Of course, he followed her every move, but as most older sisters can relate, Charlotte did not seem to be a fan of Louis’ moves.

Charlotte doesn’t just go into the kitchen singing; she goes fully dressed and equipped in her ballet outfit and other accessories. Her dad described it as a “happy moment” because Charlotte would often run around dancing and singing.

The young princess wields a significant position in her family and her parents’ heart. But, she also had a bright future ahead of her. Charlotte is in the character development stage, and it’s heartwarming.

The seven-year-old loved gymnastics. Charlotte has already developed an interest in gymnastics after watching the amazing moves displayed by Max Whitlock, Simone Biles, and Max Whitlock. Her mom once shared:

“Charlotte is really into gymnastics, she’s doing cartwheels, handstands, everything. It helps them develop their balance and coordination.”

Charlotte displays her developing sense of humor when she’s not being sporty or expending too much energy. Her dad confirms that she is quite the joker. William stated during a royal engagement:

“If you ask her, she says she’s 16. Charlotte replied, “I’m six now. It’s okay to do what you want.” They get very big quickly.

Sources say that the little girl is self-aware. Charlotte already knows she is princess and has displayed her love for fashion accessories with toy tiaras. The insider also stated:

“She feels so grown up now that she’s five. With Kate’s assistance, she picks her own outfits and can return a dress that she doesn’t love.

Princess Charlotte is known for being expressive and making her feelings known. A close source said that Princess Charlotte does not feel intimidated.
