Officials confirmed that a hit and run accident occurred on the Southbound 110 Freeway, in South Los Angeles.
According to Nicholas Prange, Los Angeles Fire Department, the crash occurred at 8:06 p.m. and involved a motorcycle as well as another vehicle.
Sgt. Pereida of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department clarified that the other vehicle as a 2014 or 2015 white BMW convertible, which was last seen driving south on the 110 Freeway.
Pereida stated that both the driver and passenger in the BMW were men. The vehicle will also have suffered collision damage.
The collision happened near the interchange with 105 Freeway. According to LAPD Officer Hernandez the officer was in unspecified condition. They were then transported by ambulance to a local medical facility.
A SigAlert for the 110 Freeway was issued at the interchange with the 105. All traffic was diverted onto the 105. California Highway Patrol.

Sky5 aerial footage before the SigAlert was lifted showed long lines of traffic stopped by the SigAlert.
