No One Adopts a Boy for 10 Years – He Looks Forward to the ‘Freedom’ of Being Someone’s Son

After spending a decade in the foster care system, a boy longed to have a family of his own, with parents who would shower him with tender love and care. All he wanted was to feel a little less alone, but would his heartfelt wish ever come true?

Sometimes, it is easy to take for granted having a home and a family. We can get so caught up in competing with others and trying to obtain what we don’t have, that we forget about all the blessings we have been given. 

Every child deserves a loving parent and a family that cares about them. Many children might have a difficult childhood. But, somewhere deep down, they hope things will improve one day, and they’ll have a reason to smile again. This story is similar to the one that we are reading today.

Tim is a 13-year-old boy from Texas whose life is a lot different than boys his age and much more complicated than it seems on the surface. He spent a large part of his childhood in foster care. 

The teenager flew to Dallas from another part the state with his caseworker in order to be featured on KHOU. “Wednesday’s Child” segment in May 2022. He is a great youngster. People don’t need to sympathize with him.Instead, he would rather have a loving family.

Tim, who was just three years old, entered the foster care system at age three and has spent ten year of his life as a foster parent. His behavior at the residential treatment center for foster kids is what he described. shared:

“At home, I am an angel. Perfect.”

Tim’s 7-year-old self was captured by his seven-year old caseworker. This adorable photo was shared on “Wednesday’s Child,”There is little Tim’s bright blue eyes were brimming with joy.He was full and happy.

Six years later, Tim’s bright blue eyes are tired and he doesn’t want the state as his parent anymore. Tim the present-day Tim longs to be a parent. Contact someone “mom”And “dad.” He expressed, “I want a mom and dad at least.”

He dreams of a career in meteorology or serving his community as a police officer.

The teenager said that He has trouble falling asleep at night.He longs for the day when he will stop moving between places. He also added:

“Kind of like being in a prison without walls. You got runners, but then where you gonna go if you run? Absolutely nowhere but right back to where you ran from (sic).”

Tim said that he wanted something permanent so that he would be there for the end of the day. The teenager was asked what kind mother he wanted. replied:

“Someone that cares, who’s always worried. I may seem embarrassed sometimes (by her worrying) but she’ll still be wondering if I’m OK. She’ll ask how my day is every time I walk through the door.”

This is not all. The young man is also A father is what she wantsWho will help him become a better person? Play ball with him and just pay attention to him. “If I go outside, he’ll go outside with me. He’ll give me some normalcy,” Additional Tim.

He spent a lot of his childhood by himself. He wants siblings with whom he can have lots of fun.He gets bored when he’s playing alone. Tim also revealed he wants older siblings so he can learn from them and model their behavior. 

The Texas boy stated that he desires the freedom to belong to and be someone else’s child. As he explained what kind of freedom he wanted, his hopeful eyes lingered. craved:

“Freedom. Freedom to go out the door when I want and them not worrying about me coming back or not, because they know they can trust me.”


Another Texas child hopes to find an adoption family like Tim and help him pursue his education and career. Cory is an 14-year old boyWho AspiresTo become a cop one day. He is a big fan of music and enjoys video games, collecting Pokemon Cards, and reading books.

He is also fascinated by weather and natural catastrophes. He dreams of a career in meteorology or serving and protecting his community as a police officer. Cory is a big fan of ice cream and pizza. He enjoys riding his scooter or bike outdoors. He loves to cool off in the pool during hot days.
