NBA star Miles BridgesAfter allegedly beating his mother in front of her children, he was charged in Los Angeles with felony domestic violence.
TMZ Sports This story was first reported late last month. A 24-year-old ex-Charlotte Hornet turned himself into authorities in L.A. on the day after the news broke. Alleged incident. After posting $130K bond, he was eventually released.
Bridges was slapped now “one felony count of injuring a child’s parent and two felony counts of child abuse under circumstances or conditions likely to cause great bodily injury or death.”
Controversial L.A. Chief District Attorney George GasconSpecifically, the question of Miles being charged “Domestic violence creates physical, mental and emotional trauma that has a lasting impact on survivors,”
Gascon continued … “Children who witness family violence are especially vulnerable and the impact on them is immeasurable. Mr. Bridges will be held accountable for his actions and our Bureau of Victim Services will support the survivors through this difficult process.”
Although the details of the alleged incident remain unclear, sources have previously confirmed that Miles and his GF were involved with an argument that escalated into physical violence.
Mychelle JohnsonMychelle claimed that she was the victim. Victims of the alleged attack… she said she was suffering from multiple injuries, which included a “brain concussion, closed fracture of nasal bone, contusion of rib, multiple bruises, strain of neck muscle.”
Mychelle also posted photographs of the alleged incident.
Johnson stated at the time that Johnson… “I don’t need sympathy,”Johnson agreed. “I just don’t want this happening to anyone else, I just want this person to get help, my kids deserve better.”
Los Angeles will arraign the forward at 6’7″ on Wednesday.
Bridges can spend many years in prison if convicted.
