Missing Man’s Body Found in Griffith Park – Los Angeles

A missing man’s body was located in a remote area of Griffith Park Thursday night, with his dog still by his side.

Oscar Alejandro Hernandez was reported missing on March 16th.

One firefighter described it as a great hike up from the merry-go-round.

According to a missing person flier posted by Hernandez’s family, he was last seen near the merry go round hiking trails.

It was Hernandez’s heartbreaking discovery 16 days later. King, his loyal dog, was also found next to him.

The dog was alive but emaciated.

Through his grief Hernandez’s cousin tells NBC4 this loyal pet never left his owner’s side.

Los Angeles Fire Department, Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles Police Department, park rangers, and grieving relatives all came together to save the day.

Hernandez’s remains were taken to a remote location as the investigation into his death continues.
