Megan McKenna’s announcement that she will perform at Glastonbury Acoustic Stage on Sunday 26 June has excited fans. This will be a historic moment in her career.
Megan McKenna (former TOWIE star) has made her Glastonbury debut.
After winning The X Factor: Celebrity, she will be the first X Factor winner to perform at this festival.
In an Instagram post, the singer shared the news with her fans.
She wrote: “This is possibly THE biggest moment of my life yet. I am playing GLASTONBURY!
“It’s hard for me to believe that I am finally able to express my happiness. Megan would be so proud of me! SEE YOU ALL OVER THE WORLD SUNDAY 26TH JUNE”

Ferne McCann, another TOWIE star, said: “OH MY GOD !”
The second message was then sent, which said: “This is insane so proud of you.”
Gemma Collins shared several praise emojis. She said: “wow well done.”
Love Island star Laura Anderson said also: “Unreal meg.”
Megan also shared this video and said: “I can’t even tell you how excited I am. I mean, Glastonbury is the biggest festival in the UK and I feel like I’ve worked so hard.
“It feels like I’m living my dreams.
Megan quit ITV’s The Only Way Is Essex reality show in 2017 to focus her talents on singing and song writing.
The 29-year old hopes to be a country star.
One year after releasing Story of Me, she won The X Factor: Celebrity 2019.
After her win, Simon Cowell’s Syco record label offered her a deal. Later, she joined Alfie Boe and Michael Ball on their tour.
The festival’s famed start date is Wednesday, June 22 through Sunday, Juni 26.
Glastonbury’s headliners include Billie Eilish (Billie), Paul McCartney (Kendrick Lamar), Diana Ross (Diana Ross), and Kendrick Lmar (Kendrick Lamar).
James Arthur, winner of X Factor 2012, had previously accused the festival in 2019 of snobbery, after he was not in the 2019 line-up.
He said this on This Morning: “I would love to be considered I guess credible enough to perform at these things. I think I was made to perform at Glastonbury and these big festivals. I am a musician.”
Megan will now be the first X Factor Winner to perform at Glastonbury.
She recently spoke out about the difficulties of transitioning from reality television to a career in music, and how she altered her image to make it more professional for the music industry.
One of her modifications is to have her lip filler removed.
Closer interviewed her and she stated: “I feel happier, more natural.
“My lips became the only thing people talk about when I was on television. “I wanted to be remembered for my voice, not my trout pout.”
