Maren Olson, a top CAA media finance agent, has joined 30West to become executive vice president of film. It was announced Wednesday.

Olson was a CAA employee for seven years, working with Ben Kramer and Roeg Suerland as Media Finance chiefs. Projects she recently helped assemble include Channing Tatum’s “Dog”; “The 355”Directed by Simon Kinberg, and starring Jessica Chastain & Penelope Cruz; the upcoming “The Pale Blue Eye”From Scott Cooper, director, and Christian Bale star; “Pussy Island,” directed by Zoë Kravitz and starring Tatum.

Olson was the president of Traction Media before joining CAA. This independent film production and sales company, was Olson’s first.
