Man Shot After Shooting Gun Near Construction Workers in Mid-Wilshire Area, Shutting Down Traffic – Los Angeles

After a police gunfire exchange, a man was seen waving a gun and shooting at construction workers in the Wilshire region near La Brea.

Los Angeles Police Department stated that the officer shot the man and took him into custody.

The LAPD reported that a man in his 30s was seen wielding a gun and shooting at workers in the area of Beverly Boulevard east. Although no injuries were reported by the LAPD, traffic was stopped on the busy avenue while officers searched for the suspect.

Officers arrived to exchange gunfire with him, and he ran west on Beverly Boulevard where they briefly chased him.

He was discovered at Beverly and Detroit, where he was taken into police custody. Police say he was injured by gunfire, and was taken to hospital with a minor injury.
