Man Allegedly Armed is Shot by LAPD in Leimert Park – Los Angeles

Los Angeles Police Department officers shot and killed an armed man at Leimert Park on Monday night.

According to the LAPD, officers were dispatched to Bronson Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at 7:25 PM for reports of an assault with deadly weapons.

The officers arrived at the scene, made contact and opened fire with police. 

The man was admitted to hospital where he was stable but in serious condition.

The shooting did not result in any injuries to officers.  

According to the LAPD, the age of the man is between thirty and forty years. 

Investigators are still investigating the cause of the shooting. Anybody with information is asked to call the LAPD on 877-527-3243.
