As high property values push more potential home buyers to the rental market, rents have been rising all across the country.

The report states that the top-rated big-city rents are in Los Angeles/Long Beach/Anaheim with a median price of $4,664.

“Renters hoping for relief in 2022 have been met with little solace as demand persists, prices for single-family homes have continued to grow and supply remains squeezed,”The report states.

What large metropolitan areas are the most affordable for rent?

Youngstown in Ohio ranks first with a median price of $861.

It’s followed by Madison, Wisconsin ($1,000); Little Rock, Arkansas ($1,153); and Flint, Michigan ($1,243).
