L.A. County Fair Returns after a 2-year hiatus

Los Angeles County Fair, after a two-year absence, returned to Pomona Fairplex Thursday for a celebration of its 100th year anniversary.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fair was cancelled during the 2020-2021 seasons. This will be the first fair after 2019.

And this time, it’s happening much earlier than usual.

To avoid scorching hot temperatures, the L.A. Fair moved its jamboree permanently from September to May.

Guests will be able to enjoy the junk food, carnival rides and petting zoo — but in cooler May temperatures.

The 2022 L.A. County FairThe festival runs from Thursday through Sunday, May 5 through 30. It will be opened with a Cinco de Mayo Celebration and ends on Memorial Day.

All things fried, dunked in chocolate and all other foods will be available to visitors once again.

Chicken Charlie’s, Legendary Hot Dog on a Stick, MacPherson’s Ice Cream and other fair favorites will be returning this year.

Guests can also look forward to seeing lots of Reminiscent carnival rides such as the bumper cars and Tilt-A–Whirl, as well the Haunt Show, the petting Zoo, and a garden pavilion and flower and vegetable pavilion are all available.

This year’s Concert SeriesWAR, Brett Young, The Beach Boys and Juanes will be performing along with Ramon Ayala and Lady A. Tickets for the concert include admission to L.A. County Fair the night before. Here.

To enter the fair, visitors can scan their printed tickets or use their smartphones to scan them.
