DANCING on Ice returns to TV screens for the 2022 series.
Celebrities who participate get handsomely rewarded. We have the inside scoop.
How much do Dancing On Ice contestants make?
The exact salary of TV executives is not known, but The Sun exclusively revealed that they had a large budget to pay top stars in 2020.
Salaries for those who take part in the show are reportedly between £20,000 and £100,000.
However, some participants have claimed that the pay was not great in the past.
Cheryl Baker, a former contestant, previously stated to The Sun that “the money is not great in our opinion.”
“I’ve been training six days a week since October. If you make it to the final it is a six-month project, so the money isn’t much in comparison.
“In this industry you can go months without a job. You can’t turn the work down.
“I have to work. I have a mortgage and bills to pay. I’m not a saver, I never have been.”
The highest paid star in Dancing on Ice history was Baywatch star Pamela Anderson, who got £150,000 in 2013.
What does a professional dancer get paid?
Pro dancers collaborate with the stars for months before the show even begins.
They are not like the judges and they are present throughout the week as they practice with their star partner.
It isn’t known, however, how much pros are paid.
What does the judge get paid?
Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill are part of the judging panel. Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, and Jayne Torvill make up the jury.
Presenters Holly Willoughby, Philip Schofield and Philip Schofield are also returning for another season.
Broadcaster ITV has not revealed how much they get paid but the judges on Strictly Come Dancing get paid at least £200,000 per series.
