Hollywood on Thursday night saw a double shooting that resulted from a domestic incident.
A spokesperson from the Los Angeles Police Department said that officers responded to reports of gunfire near the intersection of North Gower Street, Carlos Avenue, around 11:10 p.m.
Officers arrived to find a woman aged 20 and a man aged 20 with multiple gunshot wounds.
The spokesperson stated that both were declared dead on arrival.
Investigators believe that at least one victim was a mother of children who were present in the area at the time, but it is not clear if the children witnessed the shooting. LAPD Lt. Radke stated.
According to police, the gunman was a Black male aged between 20 and 25, about 6 feet tall, with a thin build. The gunman was last seen heading northbound on Vista Del Mar wearing a white T shirt.
Radke stated that it seemed like the shooter knew the victims but that their relationship was not clear.
Investigators are trying to establish the nature of the relationship between both victims.
They believe that she lived in the region.
