Fast and Furious Actors Team Up With OC District Attorney for Street Racing PSA – Los Angeles

The Orange County District attorney is launching a new public-service announcement campaign against street racing, street takeovers and other street activities.

Sung Kang is well-known for his Han Lue character in “the Fast and the Furious”Franchise is supporting OCDA Todd Spitzer’s campaign with Cody Walker.

Cody Walker is the brother of Paul Walker. He starred in Fast and Furious as Brian O’Conner, before his tragic death in a high-speed car accident in Valencia in 2013.

The PSA suggests that the Walkers have a personal story.

The video features cars racing on an open track, revving to piano music and a steady rhythm that resembles a heartbeat. Kang narrates, “Sometimes we just want to get in our cars and drive… and sometimes, we just want to go a little fast, and a bit furious.”

As the car goes around a curve it stalls, swinging its rear tires in an alarming fashion.

Cody Walker then appears on-screen, reminding viewers to slow down and pause.

“Guys, let’s be responsible,”He said. “There’s someone waiting for you at home.”

The PSA is now available from the OCDA “to every law enforcement agency in the United States in an effort to curb injuries and deaths related to street racing,” The office stated in a release.

The OCDA’s Office joined the actors to announce the PSA campaign. It displayed photos of street racers who were killed.

“At the end of the day, the message is, somebody is waiting for you at home,”Kang stated this during the kickoff.
