Fans spot unexpected Liverpool skill that completely embarrassed Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Liverpool fans spotted an unexpected piece of skill from Nathaniel Phillips during their win over AC Milan that left Zlatan Ibrahimovic completely embarrassed.

Phillips played the full 90 minutes at the San Siro as Liverpool came from behind to win 2-1 and become the first English side to win all six of their Champions League group stage matches.

During the second half, the defender produced a Cruyff turn inside his own box after regaining possession, before calmly bringing the ball out of defence.

His piece of skill left Ibrahimovic in the dust, while Milan midfielder Franck Kessie was left on the turf after attempting to tackle Phillips.

Speaking about the moment after the match, Phillips said: “Yeah, it was [special] – I’ll have to watch it back when I get a chance.

“There was no real thought process behind it, to be honest. It was one of those things, it was just instinct and thankfully it paid off. I’m looking forward to watching that back.

“If it is [a GIF] I’ll have to get hold of it so I can send it around!”

The Liverpool supporters were also blown away by the piece of skill and took to social media to react following the match.
