Everything about Martin Sheen’s Son Who Is Also an Actor and Producer

Ramon Estévez is Hollywood royalty by virtue of his dad Martin Sheen’s impact in the movie industry. He and Sheen have a lot in common except for the name they are known for in the spotlight.

Movie star Martin Sheen is a successful actor, thanks to his exceptional portrayal of roles in movies like “Apocalypse Now’ and “Badlands.”

It is safe to say that Martin is proud of his achievement, including birthing children he has inspired to become Hollywood stars.

However, Martin does have regrets. No matter how much he counts his blessings and achievements, the star reflects on how he changed his birth name to suit Hollywood.

Martin’s real name is Ramon Estévez, and although he did not gain popularity for it, his son with the same name has popularized it in Hollywood. So who is the younger Ramon Estévez?

Ramon Estévez, born in August 1963, is one of four children that Sheen welcomed in his longtime marriage to Janet Sheen. Ramon’s equally famous siblings are Emilio, Charlie, and Renee.

While Renee and Emilio chose to keep their last names like him, Charlie followed in their dad’s footsteps as he is known as Charlie Sheen. Ramon’s first acting role was a family affair.

A star in his own right, Ramon is one of the successful actors who looked up to their father growing up. As a child, he had the natural hunch to become an entertainer.

Ramon studied acting, dancing, and singing at a young age. He specified in tap dancing and idolized stars like Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire.

He danced professionally but at a local level and as a member of the Danny Daniel’s Dance American Company.

Once speaking about his experience, Ramon stated that it was great to have been actively involved in tap dancing at a young age. His first acting job was a small role in 1982’s “In the Custody of Strangers.”

At the time, he featured alongside his brother, Emilio, and their father in the movie. More of his acting credits include “The West Wing,” “Shadow Conspiracy,” and “Cadence,” where he once again played a role along with his father.

These days, Ramon is into production and runs the family company Estévez Sheen Production. He is well known in Europe as he has produced movies in French and Spanish.

He made a tremendous effort to learn French when making movies in the language. Ramon stated that he did not need to stress much about Spanish because he had ample childhood knowledge.

Some of Ramon’s production credits include “L.M Montgomery’s Anne Of Green Gables” and “Anger Management.” He also writes songs and has been credited as a writer for some of Diamond Rio’s songs.

Ramon’s tap dancing skills came in handy when he taught “Iron Man” star Robert Downey Jr. some of his moves. The latter made it known in an exclusive interview with Esquire in 2009.
