Marisa was 13 when her father died. He was unable to fulfill his promise to take Marisa to Ireland. John died from stomach cancer. He left behind a legacy of over 200 Western movies.

While the actor was buried at Pacific View Memorial Park Cemetary in his final resting place, its exact location was unknown as it had not been marked for more than two decades. John’s burial site was not disclosed by the cemetery to his family or the deceased. Many people tried to find his location.
