SCOOBY-DOO fans now have the opportunity to stay in an AirBnb based on the hit children’s show for the first time.
To celebrate 20 years since Scooby-Doo: The Movie appeared, the actor Matthew Lillard – who played Shaggy in the film – will become the rental site’s latest celebrity host.
This summer, guests will have the opportunity to live their van-life dreams like Shaggy or Scooby in Mystery Machine.
The space has retro decor, including lava lamps. It can also be used as a camping spot for overnight stays.
Lillard will greet guests upon arrival and provide a virtual greeting.
You can also use your detective skills by solving mystery puzzles and viewing late-night films on retro TVs.
A covered area with ample seating and hammock space will be available for you to relax outdoors.
Lillard said: “I’ve been channeling Shaggy since the live-action adaptation in 2002, and he’s been a part of me ever since.
“I can’t wait to welcome guests into the world of the Mystery Inc. gang as their Airbnb Host and give them a summer vacation they’ll never forget…monsters not included!”
This stay will begin on June 16th, at 6pm BST. Guests can request to book the reservation. However, they are responsible for their own travel from Southern California.
What’s more, it’s rather affordable – with the option to book three individual one-night stays on 24th, 25th and 26th June for just $20 (around £16) a night.
We are pleased to share the unusual AirBnb stays, which include a South Korean house shaped like a guitar and a yacht that is stranded on a deserted island.
These are the top ten UK destinations for staycation.
