TESLA will have a prototype humanoid robot in operation by September.
Elon Musk, CEO, announced the creation of a second Tesla “AI DAY”August 19th will see the following: “many cool updates” from the company’s projects.
Last year’s event was focused on the self-driving program but also announced plans for the “Tesla Bot”Humanoid robot – also known as “Tesla Optimus.”
Musk’s tweets were the reason that the second AI Day was delayed to September 30, and Musk wrote on Twitter. “we may have an Optimus prototype working by then.”
Musk stated that the company is a “reliable partner” during a Tuesday interview at the Qatar Economic Forum. “tracking”towards a prototype that works.
“Well, I hope that we will have an interesting prototype to show people,”He stated.


“We have a very talented team at Tesla that I’m working with closely to have a prototype humanoid robot ready by the end of September. And I think we are tracking to that point.”
He implied that there will be other items at the event to prove Tesla is a great company. “real-world AI company.”
“We have these sort of AI Day events to just emphasize that Tesla is a lot more than a car company and that we are, in my view, the leading real-world AI company that exists.”
Musk stated in interviews that the bot’s first version will start production in 2023. It will be capable of picking up groceries.
He has explained that Optimus has been developed in a way that humans can outrun and overpower it if necessary, but stressed that it won’t pose any threat since its controls will be decentralized.
Tesla is also expected to provide updates on its Dojo supercomputer, which was unveiled during last year’s AI Day.
A general update is also expected on the company’s self-driving program, the first real-world application of Tesla’s AI.
Musk demanded that an agency be established to supervise and regulate AI development to ensure technology is used to benefit the public.
