Elizabeth II’s Favorite Grandkid, Who didn’t know Grandma was Queen, Impresses Her Fans with a Resemblance to Grandma

Queen Elizabeth II has many relationships with her grandchildren. The one who is said to be her favourite grandchild didn’t know she was Queen Elizabeth II. Fans are stunned at the similarities in character and appearance between these two.

Prince Edward’s daughter Lady Louise MountbattenWindsor, unlike her famous cousins, is never far away. The teen has had a close and special relationship with her grandparents, unlike the other royal grandchildren.

Lady Louise, and James, the Viscount Severn her brother, may not be as outspoken than their older cousins but reports suggest that they have shared a closer relationship with the Queen since childhood, just like their grandfather Prince Philip.

The Queen was already 26 years old when Lady Louise was born, in 2003. Louise grew-up in Bagshot Park (51 acres), just 20 minutes away from Windsor Castle. She would spend her weekends at Windsor.

Because of her temperament at the time, the Queen was able to help her and Prince Philip be hands-on grandparents to her little brother and the girl. Ingrid Seward was the editor-in chief of Majesty Magazine. “Prince Philip Revealed: a Man of his Century,”Telegraph Reports:

“They were the grandchildren that they saw the most. While the older ones were seen less frequently, this little girl was there every weekend.”

According to reports Louise and her grandmother are Very close. Louise’s artistic endeavours are supported by Queen Elizabeth.

The bond between the grandmother and her granddaughter started long before Louise was born. After the death of Princess Margaret, the Queen began to take a liking for Louise’s grandmother, Sophie, Countess, of Wessex. Sophie was a strong supporter for the Queen.

Their bond was strong but it strengthened after Louise’s tragic birth. It has remained that way ever since. There are many reasons why the Queen is so attached to her 18-year old granddaughter.

Evening Standard was informed by a royal source that Louise is a reflection of the Queen. The source also mentioned that Louise reminded her of herself as a child, with her level-headedness and thoughtfulness, as well kindness.

Louise was quite regular in her childhood, despite being the 14th line to the royal crown. She grew up in a world away from the spotlight. In fact, she didn’t know her grandmother was the Queen.

Louise’s grandmother, Sophie, revealed that Louise knew nothing about her grandmother’s title until she began school. She would return home from school wondering why her classmates kept telling her that she was the Queen’s grandmother. Sophie remembered her. Say it:

“Mummy, people keep on telling me that grandma is the Queen.”


It is easy to see why Lady Louise sees herself as a teen when she looks at the Queen. Lady Louise is exactly the same as when she was younger.

According to a royal insider, the two share more that a striking resemblance. Both have a scholarly and “good girl” character. An insider revealed that Louise was sensible, modest, and just like her grandmother’s younger counterpart.

Seward compliments Louise for her gentleness and recalls how helpful and sweet she was with the younger bridesmaids at Princess Eugenie’s wedding. The royal fans were also struck by the uncanny similarities between the Queen’s youngest daughter and the Queen.

One @dagmar_Marie77 shared a throwback picture of the Queen with one of Sophie and Louise. It was a tribute to her grandmother and mother. She Write:

“I spot someone who’s looking a lot like her grandmother and her mother.”

@LauraLee_365 was another fan who thought the similarities between the two were undeniable. Louise’s blonde hair is the only thing that differed. “Except for being blonde, she is the spitting image of the Queen. Even the same thick, curly hair.”She Tweet.

Louise was close to Prince Philip, despite her obvious resemblance to her grandmother and her admirable traits.

She also inherited her grandfather’s passion for horses and they often bonded over their love of riding and carriages. Philip left her two fallen ponies, Balmoral Nevis, and Notlaw Storm.

He also left his latest toy, a dark green four-wheeled carriage that he had built for him to take around Windsor Castle and other royal estates a few years ago.

Photos from 2019 prove that the prince has always supported his granddaughter. Philip was seen proudly watching as his granddaughter took part in the Private Driving Singles carriage driving competition at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. Her third place finish was achieved.

Seward stated that Louise had been extremely proud of Louise’s performance, and was happy for him to share his knowledge of carriage riding and horses with someone who shares his enthusiasm and interests.

Louise rode her horses around Windsor Great Park grounds with Philip’s permission when he died in April 2021. This was to preserve her grandfather’s memories and to show her respect.
