Dodger Stadium fans who want to avoid parking problems can now travel by express bus from downtown’s Union Station and South Bay’s Harbor Gateway Transit Center to get there. This season’s Dodger home opener is Thursday night.
Metro’s Dodger Stadium Express bus service will be available throughout the season at no cost. For the home opener, buses will be available for use from two hours before and 45 minutes after game time.
Metro states that buses will be running for the remainder of the season until game time.
Buses will stop at Union Station near the Homebound Brewhaus to pick up passengers. Buses will run every ten minutes and will drop fans at Dodger Stadium’s top deck or behind center field.
Fans can board at bay No. 9 at the Harbor Gateway Transit Center located at 731 W. 182nd St., Gardena. 9: Buses run every 20 minutes and drop fans right behind Dodger Stadium.
Metro reports that more than 2.5 million people used express buses to get to the stadium since 2010.
Buses departing from Union Station travel on Sunset Boulevard in a designated bus lane. ExpressLanes (110) Freeway are used by the Harbor Gateway buses.
