Culver City violent crash kills woman

Following a Saturday night collision in Culver City, a woman was struck by a car and killed.

The crash occurred around 10:15 pm near Wrightcrest Drive.

According to Los Angeles Police Department, a woman was driving a white sedan on La Cienega south when she hit another vehicle.

The woman’s sedan went off the road and slammed into a light pole, splitting the vehicle in half.

The woman was declared dead on the spot. She’s been identified only as a 23-year-old.

The second vehicle’s driver was trapped in the car and had to be rescued from the flames by firefighters.

Police are currently investigating the incident. It’s unclear at this time if drugs, alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.
