Crows Are Attacking People in Hermosa Beach – Los Angeles

Residents of Hermosa Beach have reported an unusual problem: Crows attacking them in a popular park.

Noble Park is home to the birds, who are territorial and chase people and their dogs.

“They’re just coming out of the trees and kind of dive-bombing you and trying to get you out of the park,”Dan Cohen was attacked by crows recently, he said.

Although the birds did not cause any serious injury, a local hotel hired a professional falconer twice per week to keep them away.

Bob Shanman, an expert on wild birds, stated that crows can be intelligent.

“Crows get facial recognition,”Shanman stated. “They know how to fashion tools to get food. They’re omnivorous, will eat anything.”

He also stated that crows are more protective during this time of the year, as they give birth in May or June.

A murder of crows can be described as a flock of crows. The birds were associated with darkness and death in ancient superstitions.

Experts say that crows are generally harmless.

Experts recommend that small dogs be kept close to their owners and kept on a leash.

They recommend that you wear a hat to Noble Park, and avoid the area in the early morning when crows feed.
