Crews fight brush fire in Angeles National Forest, Santa Clarita

Crews battle a brush fire in Angeles National Forest, after a vehicle near Santa Clarita caught fire.

According to the California Highway Patrol the blaze was first reported at 2 p.m. near Bouquet Canyon Road and Spunky Canyon Road.

The vehicle’s fire spread to the brush.

According to the CHP, heavy smoke was visible from the mountainside near Rowher Flats.

The blaze is located near Bouquet Reservoir.

While it isn’t clear whether structures are under threat, there is a church near the scene of the blaze.

According to the National Weather Service it is currently at 74°F and wind gusts up to 15 mph.
