A beauty queen divorced by the former King of Malaysia has moved to London so she can educate her prince in Britain.

Russian model and businesswoman Oksana Voevodina’s secret marriage to wealthy Sultan Muhammad V of Kelantan led to him quitting his throne.

Now the pair’s son, two-and-a-half-year-old Leon, who she says is the ex-monarch’s sole male heir, has started at an exclusive nursery school in London.

The 52-year-old sultan, who remains the ruler of Kelantan, abruptly divorced Oksana, now 29, just one month after she gave birth to Leon – who closely resembles the ex-king.

Muhammad V has previously called little Leon “the cutest thing in the world”, without publicly acknowledging the boy conceived during their relationship.

There were claims the then king was furious that details leaked out about his secret Russian wedding, when he had wanted it to remain hidden and “private”.

Oksana – Miss Moscow 2015 – reportedly rejected a $1million (£750,000) settlement.

This was accompanied by a demand that she and the boy should never contact the former monarch, her legal representatives alleged.

“Leon and I moved to London two months ago,” she said.

“I was silent for a long time and did not tell anyone about this, as I had to cope with so many difficulties that you face when moving to another country.”

Oksana told her social media followers: “Education for my son in the UK has always been the goal of my life and I am glad that I am gradually fulfilling my plan.”

The Russian, who has studied for an MBA, is now working as an investment advisor in Britain, she said.

The sultan himself was educated in Britain.

Oksana claimed it was the third time she had moved to start a new life.

“The first move was to Moscow at the age of 17, when I went to university,” she said.

“Then, at 24, I moved to Malaysia. And now five years later, I packed my suitcases again, took Leon under my arm and started over again.”

This time, Oksana said she had focused “exclusively” on the interests of her son.

She added: “Since it so happened that I alone gave birth to him and I am raising him by myself, then everything must be done for his future, because no-one will do it except me.”

Oksana said she was “never afraid of change”, and spoke of overcoming bureaucratic obstacles to begin again in an apartment in Chelsea.

Since starting her new life in London, she enjoyed a glamorous sunshine break in the Maldives.

The king abdicated his throne on January 6, 2019.

She has claimed her son was the born his sole male heir and as such “crown prince of the Sultanate of Kelantan” and potential “future king of Malaysia”.

The pair’s split was followed by a long running dispute over alimony, with her calling on the ex-king to take a paternity test .

She has previously described this period as being “very difficult” for her and said it was “deceptive” to think she easily survived the divorce.

“My recovery was accompanied with insomnia, nervous breakdowns, endless fears about the future, and about responsibility for the child,” she added.

“I am the only person in the world for him.

“To be honest, I was not ready for this.

“I always dreamed of giving birth in a loving marriage.

“And so I gave birth to a child for a man whose greatest dream in life was to have a child.”

But “not a trace of marriage and love remained by this point,” she said.

Earlier, in September 2018, he had described the unborn child to her as “our baby”, it was reported.

“I’m very happy”, he said concerning news of Oksana’s pregnancy, describing himself as “the father of your child”.

He wanted their child to be the heir to his sultanate, he explained.

“Allah put us together so your son can take care of Kelantan,” he said, it was reported.
