Arsenal’s summer transfer window could be one that brings plenty of excitement for it’s fans should the club qualify for the Champions League next season, as Mikel Arteta looks to continue his rebuild of the team.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus and submitted their first bid for the Brazilian this week, although it reportedly fell €10million short of City’s estimation, while a Twitter leak seems to have revealed that the Gunners have offered Mohamed Elneny a contract extension.

The First Gabriel Jesus bid fails

Arsenal have had their first bid of €50million for Gabriel Jesus rejected by Manchester City as it currently falls short of the club’s estimation of the Brazilian striker, as the Gunners begin to put things into motion in their search for a new striker.

The club in north London is determined to sign at least one forward during the next transfer window, despite not being able to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubmeyang.

According to Goal, via Metro, initial talks have already been held between Arsenal and the Brazilian’s representatives, which has left Jesus keen on the idea of reuniting with Mikel Arteta, who spent three years at City as Pep Guardiola’s assistant.

Leak reveals Elneny contract extension

Following a congratulation message on social media by a member from the technical squad of Egypt’s national football team, Mohamed Elneny appears have signed a new contract extension to continue at Arsenal beyond this season.

Elneny has been limited to opportunities under Mikel Arteta this season but has started in Arsenal’s last four games as Thomas Partey’s replacement, in which he has impressed as the Gunners secured a maximum of 12 points from those set of fixtures, but his current deal is set to expire at the end of the campaign.

According to FilGoal, an Egyptian sports outlet, the tweet was shared by A member of the national team staff also published a tweet congratulating him on his new contract with Emirates. Reddit user shared the post with the caption: “A member of Egypt technical team congratulates El Neny on signing his new Arsenal deal.”

Arsenal is on high alert for the Barcelona transfer list

Arsenal are on alert after Barcelona reportedly revealed their transfer-listed players ahead of next season. This list includes nine members of the first-team squad, who could all be leaving La Liga.
