Alleged gang member shot Pasadena woman: Police

A Glendora resident is now facing attempted homicide charges after a Pasadena woman was admitted to Huntington Memorial Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound. According to the Pasadena Police Department.

Kisha Berkley (50) was left in critical condition following the May 4 shooting. The shooting occurred just after 1 a.m. police released a news release.

The Pasadena Police Department responded to the scene at the 1100 block Lincoln Avenue, Pasadena. Derick Paige, 44, was identified by officers. “connected to a local criminal street gang,”As a suspect.

Paige was detained in Redlands on Monday and charged with a felony count of attempted murder on Wednesday, police stated.

Police did not reveal a suspected motive for the shooting, nor did they reveal if it is connected to Paige’s alleged gang ties.

Paige is being held as a lieu of $1.2million bail and, according to jail records, is currently being held at the Inmate Reception Center, Chinatown.

Paige appeared at Pasadena Superior Court Thursday morning. However, court records do not indicate when Paige is due to appear in court.
