Aladdin star passes away at 67, following the deaths of Bob Saget & Norm MacDonald

His family confirmed Tuesday that Gilbert Gottfried, a COMEDIAN, has passed away at the age of 67.

His death marks another tragic loss for the comedy industry, following Bob Saget and Norm McDonald’s recent deaths.

Gottfried’s family was part of Facebook: “We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Gilbert Gottfried after a long illness.”

They also added: “Although today is a sad day for all of us, please keep laughing as loud as possible in Gilbert’s honor.”

Jason Alexander, a Seinfeld star, suggested on social media that Gottfried had died. Twitter: “Gilbert Gottfried made me laugh at times when laughter did not come easily.”

“What a gift. I did not know him well but I loved what he shared with me. My best wishes and sympathy to his family.”

Gottfried was well-known for his many iconic roles. He voiced the parrot Iago, in Aladdin’s 1992 animated classic.
