After pursuit ends in Silver Lake, motorcycle rider is taken into custody

After a pursuit through Los Angeles County, Monday morning, a motorcyclist was taken into custody by Silver Lake.

California Highway Patrol Officer Nicholson stated that the rider was originally wanted for speeding.

CHP reported that the chase began at Carson on the southbound 605 freeway. CHP said that the motorcycle rider continued southbound on the 405 Freeway, eventually reaching Echo Park.

The motorcyclist was seen waving at someone before getting on his bike to continue the chase.

The motorcycle rider was seen riding off-road along a dirt track near the park, then moving onto a grassy patch.

At one point, the suspect could be seen nearly striking the officer’s motorcycle and then speeding off.

Ten minutes later, the pursuit came to an end in Silver Lake. Officers took custody of the suspect outside of an apartment block.
