Vitalii Seleveni, his 15-year old son Dennis, showed the blood to a Russian soldier in Kharkiv after the teenager had died.

The blood of a father who lost his son in a bombing raid left him devastated as he confronted the soldier from Russia at the hospital.

Vitalii Seleveni gave the blood of his 15 year-old son Dennis, to the Russian. He had his hands tied behind his back after the teen died from his injuries in Kharkiv.

Dennis was working with his parents, and other workers to rescue animals from a Ukraine Zoo when a bomb struck nearby.

He was known to help feed the animals. In fact, he was with a group of people who were taking the animals out of Feldman Ecopark after it had been bombed.

Three Ecopark employees were also killed by the blast.

Dennis sustained serious injuries to his legs, including a severe cut to his thigh. He was later the fourth victim, arriving at hospital 30 minutes later.

As his father, Mr. Seleveni, walked out from the hospital in shock, he noticed a blind-folded Russian soldier captured during the attack.

And he thrust his hands covered in his son’s blood in front of the soldier, who had the tape around his eyes removed, showing him what he had done.

Oleksandr Feldman (a Ukrainian MP and founder of Ecopark), broke the news via Facebook that the boy had been killed in the shelling. Ukrinform.

“Today, the sixth volunteer has died during the final stage of an attempted evacuation of African buffaloes. This was a boy born in 2008. The people who were with him are seriously injured, surgeries are now underway, so doctors are fighting for the lives of each one of them,” Mr Feldman said.

He added that two Russian soldiers were brought to the hospital together with the wounded.

“Two Russian soldiers were brought simultaneously with them. It remains unclear how they got to the park in the first place. They destroyed all the vehicles in which the guys arrived,”He stated.

Dennis was part of a group that was helping animals evacuate from the zoo when shrapnel struck him.

Since the outbreak of war, the Russian military has had a direct line of fire at the zoo located in Kharkiv’s north east, in the Derhachiv area.

It is reported that some animals fled their enclosures after the attack, while others, including white tigers and panthers, were killed.

They were being evacuated under fire and transported to safer areas in other cities in Ukraine. A white tiger was removed from the zoo in April 24, and a Himalayan bear was taken out of the zoo in April 29.

Two other employees of the zoo were shot dead by Russian soldiers in early March and there bodies were found on the park’s premises, reported Ukrinform.
