The exciting new series is even directed by a woman, Alexandra Dean (This is Paris, Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story). The series includes exclusive interviews from playmates to staff, as well as archival footage.
What do we know about the upcoming series?
Secrets Of Playboy Is Brand New A&E Documentary Series
A&E Network has just announced a brand new documentary series event called Secrets of Playboy. This series goes behind the curtain to learn about what happened at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion and beyond.
Although Hugh Hefner has been dead for four years, a lot of things have changed. The biggest change is the #MeToo movement.
This movement would likely would rebel against the whole sexual revolution that Hefner’s enterprise explored and exploited. The new series goes there and uncovers the seedy underbelly of the unclad, glamorous girl-next-door pictorials that became iconic with Hef’s name.
The ten-hour series examines the era, with the modern eye. Many women were manipulated into doing things that they were uncomfortable with, taking drugs, and other degrading actions to be available to some of the celebrities who frequented the famed mansion for some intimate time at the famed grotto.
Who Is Interviewed For New A&E Series?
Secrets Of Playboy includes exclusive interviews with some very high-profile people from Playboy. This includes former Director of Playmate Promotions Miki Garcia.
In addition, the series interviews some of Hefner’s past girlfriends. This includes Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt, and Sondra Theodore.
