According to Report, Colin Kaepernick is going to work out for the NFL Team

Colin Kaepernick is just one step closer to his return to the NFL.According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter,The Las Vegas Raiders will be inviting the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback to do a workout. Schefter stated that the workout would take place this week. Ian Rapoport, of the NFL Network, said that the. Workouts are on Wednesday 

Kaepernick has been absent from the NFL since the conclusion of the 2016 season. Kaepernick, who was protesting racial inequality, began kneeling during 2016’s national anthem. This led to a nationwide debate. Kaepernick, who has been a social activist for the last few decades, has written books and produced TV shows. Kaepernick was born in April. It was featured on theI AM ATHLETE Podcast and indicated that he is willing to serve as a backup quarterback. 

“I know I have to find my way back in. So if I have to come in as a backup, that’s fine,”Kaepernick spoke. “But that’s not where I’m staying. And when I prove that I’m a starter, I want to be able to step on the field as such. I just need that opportunity to walk through the door.”  Earlier this month, Raiders owner Mark Davis said he would welcome Kaepernick to the team, but the decision is not up to him. 

“I believe in Colin Kaepernick,” Davis said. “He deserves every chance in the world to become a quarterback in the National Football League. I still stand by it. If our coaches and general manager want to bring him in or want him to be the quarterback on this team, I would welcome him with open arms.”    

Kaepernick (34 years old) was selected by 49ers in second round of 2011 NFL Draft. Although his career was not without its ups and downs, he helped the 49ers to the Super Bowl in 2012. Kaepernick had six seasons with the 49ers and threw for 12,271 yard, 72 touchdowns, and 30 interceptions. Kaepernick also rushed 2,300 yards, 13 touchdowns, and holds the NFL record of most rushing yards in one game (181). Kaepernick will be joining the Raiders’ quarterback room, which also includes Jarrett Stidham, Nick Mullens, and Derek Carr.
