50k reward offered for fatal shooting in Sylmar

Officials announced Monday a reward in the hopes of locating those responsible for killing a Sylmar man last January.

An 8 a.m. news conference will announce the $50,000 reward for information leading towards the arrest and convictions of the murderers of Alexander Aguirre.

Los Angeles City Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez will be joined by Los Angeles Police Department officials and the victim’s family members.

The shooting took place on Nov. 12, 2021 in the 13200 block Maclay Street.

Aguirre, a 40-year-old man at the time, was discovered with a gunshot wound.

Investigators who responded initially said that two women and a man were seen running away from the scene.
