1 person was killed in a shooting at Tarzana dispensary by the LAPD

Police said that one person was killed in a shooting at a Tarzana cannabis dispensary.

According to Officer Cruz from the Los Angeles Police Department, the shooting occurred at 12:30 p.m. in the 18000 block Ventura Boulevard.

The victim, believed to have been in his mid-30s and was suffering from gunshot wounds when officers arrived. Los Angeles Fire Department declared him deceased at the scene.

No arrests have been made, and police say they’re looking for two men who they believe were involved.

Maria Harris, a Tarzana resident, identified the victim as Brian Garcia, her 28-year old son who was a frequent customer at the dispensary.

“My son had a good heart. He was a good kid,”She spoke. “He really was. That was my firstborn baby. I don’t understand why God took him from me. I don’t know what I’m going to do next. I’m really broken in pieces and I’m lost right now. I can’t even think straight.”

Police have not released many details of Garcia’s death except to say that he was fatally shot during an armed robbery, Harris told KTLA.
