A crash that killed a passenger near Hollywood Forever Cemetery Saturday morning was at least partially caused by a driver’s use of drugs or alcohol, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Two-car collision at 6078 W. Santa Monica Blvd. According to Officer Lee, the collision occurred at 2:20 a.m. as a car tried to turn left onto Santa Monica Boulevard. However, another vehicle T-boned it.
Lee stated that the Los Angeles Fire Department declared the passenger in the vehicle turning dead on the spot. He was a young man in his 20s.
Lee said that the driver of another vehicle was still at the scene and was arrested. Lee also stated that alcohol and drugs were a contributing factor. However, it is unknown if speed played any role.
Lee stated that no information was given regarding the condition of the other driver and that the investigation is ongoing.
